My Race Plan

Once you’ve completed your “HEAD IN THE GAME” document you are now ready to take on the next stage of building a robust race plan.

Whether you are completing a triathlon or individual discipline event this can be something you write once and read regularly as you approach the event day.

Task

In the event you are taking part in -

  • Triathletes complete the swim, bike, run online sections below or download the Race Plan PDF and jot down your five key focuses for each discipline and then write paragraph or an essay that outlines your discipline strategy and focuses (include key numbers eg. Heart Rates, Power, Cadence, Pace)

  • Individual discipline events complete the relevant sections or download the Race Plan PDF and jot down your five key focuses. Then write a paragraph or an essay that outlines your discipline strategy and focuses (include key numbers eg. Heart Rates, Power, Cadence, Pace)

Swim

You are thinking about - your warm up, your start position, your intensity, your breathing technique, specific stroke pointers, course direction, landmarks you might be looking for, currents, entry or exit strategies, open water skills such as drafting.

This must be specific to you! This is like a diary entry of what you want to write after the race!

Note if you complete the online form, it is sent to our team and we will forward this through to you to save.

Bike
